Delving into the world of natural dyeing is a slow, deep connection with the wonderful world of plants.

Coaxing the colour out of plant materials is an alchemical practice with endless potential.

Join us this Spring at the market garden for a day of Natural Dyeing. We will be slowing down, stepping back in time and working with open fire and water to create your very own samples of natural dyed wool & fabric.

On this course you will learn:

-The practical skills needed to dye with plants

-The importance of mordants and modifiers to affect dye colour

-Create your own unique set of naturally dyed sample skeins

-The knowlege and skills to continue your dyeing journey as well as multiple hand outs and written information for you to take home

Although we have indoor space to work if the weather is bad, we recommend bringing warm clothes and wearing suitable outdoor clothing.

Due to the nature of the course, we ask that all attendees are over the age of 16 and that any under 18's are accompanied by a paying adult.
